Hot Tack Tester, HT-2PC, with automatic film feeding device and industrial PC for determination of the hot tack seal strength of packaging films, to ASTM F1921.

It follows the principles of ASTM F1921 Standard Test Method for Hot Seal Strength (Hot Tack) of Thermoplastic Polymers and blends comprising the sealing surfaces of flexible webs.

Sealing specification:
- Sealing jaws: 2 x brass sealing jaws mounted with sensors and heaters.
- Sealing jaws: 10 x 40 mm standard (5 mm and 15mm optional).
- Sample width: max 30 mm allowing 5 mm each side.
- Sample thickness max 1 mm (material must be flexible to fold).
- Sealing dwell time: 0.01 to 99.99 s.
- Sealing temperature: ambient to 350˚C depending on sealing jaws.
- Sealing pressure: 0.1 to 3.0 N/mm².
- Sealing pressure sensor: Strain gauge.
- Sealing temperature control: electronic PID.
Peeling specification:
- Cooling time: 0.1 to 99.1 sec.
- Peeling speed: 21 to 750 mm/s.
- Peeling by vertically moving lower sample clamp.

- Sample length: min 300 mm.
Hot tack force measurement:
- Measurement range: 0 to 100 N.
- Sampling speed: max 500 Hz depending on peel speed.
