Papresa launches into the world of packaging paper, trusting IDM Test for this new adventure

Papresa,  the only newsprint producer in Southern Europe, after more than 125 years of focusing on newsprint, has a new commitment to packaging paper.

In a year in which the economy suffered due to the pandemic, corrugated cardboard was the driving force in the Spanish paper industry, with a turnover of 5,271 million euros. (Source: Informe sectorial 2020 – Afco).

Papresa is inaugurating a new era with its foray into the packaging paper sector with all the experience accumulated over more than 100 years in the production of newsprint, thus adding to the 100,000 direct jobs in this sector in Europe. 

To ensure the quality of its papers, Papresa has relied on IDM Test by setting up a new laboratory highly equipped with our latest technology in equipment to measure the quality of packaging paper. 

This collaboration is a great step forward for both Papresa and IDM Test, two companies from Gipuzkoa that are committed to the constant improvement of our products by adapting to new market demands.
