Must have equipment to measure the bursting resistance of cardboard, paper and plastic

Different regulations and international standards such as ISO or TAPPI require that the resistance to bursting of materials such as cardboard, paper or plastic has to be measured and recorded according to the Mullen Jumbo principle. Burst strength (Mullen value) is one of the dominant resistance criteria in the corrugated cardboard industry.

Equipment to measure Mullen burst strength in paper and cardboard:

Standards: ISO 2758, TAPPI T403 y T807, ASTM D477 y BS 3137.

Laboratory equipment with pneumatic clamping to determine Mullen burst in board and paper.  Large colour touch screen burst values representation, bursting curve, BEA values and full statistics.

Standard: ISO 12625-9.

Developed in IDM Test for tissue paper and derivatives, it measures mechanical penetration using the ball method. It is a device that can be attached to all types of vertical testing machines. Possibility of performing the wet test.

Equipment to measure the bursting resistance in plastic:

Standards: ASTM D1598, ISO1167, 4427, DIN 8062, UNI EN 7499 / 7991 / 8321.

It controls the internal pressure in thermoplastic material pipes. The test consists of filling the water samples with a reference standard and placing them under pressure for a predetermined time.
