Different regulations and international standards such as ISO or TAPPI require that the resistance to bursting of materials such as cardboard, paper or plastic has to be measured and recorded according to the Mullen Jumbo principle. Burst strength (Mullen value) is one of the dominant resistance criteria in the corrugated cardboard industry.
