3 equipments to perform flammability tests in your laboratory

The determination of the flammability index of the materials is one of the most important tests to know how they behave when they come into contact with fire.

Today we describe three laboratory equipment with different features to test flammability in the laboratory with different kind of materials.

EPIRADIATOR – IDM Test:

Standard: NF P 92 501.

Cod.: 430704.

This combustion chamber determines the flammability index and the development of combustion in rigid and flexible materials.

Highlights:

Epirradiator with 500W power.
10 termocouples: 5 at the bottom and another 5 at the top.
Data processed on PC.

SMOKE OPTICAL DENSITY – IDM Test:

Standard: ISO 5659-2 CEN/TS 45545-2.

Cod.: 430802.

The chamber to determine the optical density of the smoke of IDM Test has a piece of conical furniture to allow a variable radiation of between 10/50 watt / m2.

It can be used with vertical samples.
It can be used to perform tests on materials used in rail vehicles.
Value optical density and toxicity.

FLAMMABILITY TESTING CHAMBER– IDM Test:

Standard: UL94 ASTM D 3801 - ASTM D4986 - ISO9772 ISO 9773.

Equipment for testing the ignition of the flame and its propagation in plastic materials.

It can be used with vertical samples.
Includes sample holder of different designs to allow testings according to the 5 UL standard.
